Intangible Property is a property without a physical existence. Examples of intangible property include patents, patent applications, trade names, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, trade secrets.
Some intangible property might have a paper embodiment, (such as stocks, bonds, or certificates) but other intangible property does not (intellectual property). Due to this characteristic, intangible property may be difficult to value, but is still a form of property.
