half blood

Primary tabs

Half-blood means a half-brother or half-sister; siblings who share only one parent. In the context of inheritance law, different states have different laws of inheritance with regards to half-blood relatives. For example, Florida law states that half-blood relatives “shall inherit only half as much as those of the whole blood; but if all are of the half-blood they shall have whole parts.” However, under the laws of Rhode Island, brothers and sisters of the half-blood inherit equally with those of the whole blood.
